1.25 Post Earthquake Reconstruction, New Zealand

Consortium members played a major part in earthquake reconstruction work after moderate to major earthquakes in New Zealand. This has included assessing earthquake damage and developing, implementing and supervising the construction of repairs for buildings, highways, bridges, lifelines and other infrastructure. Earthquakes with significant damage within in recent years include Westport (1991), Gisborne (1966 and 1993), Inangahua (1968), Dunedin (1974), Hawke's Bay (1980 and 1990), Edgecumbe (1987), Wanganui (1991), Arthur's Pass (1994).
