Indonesian booklet on Improving Seismic Resistance of Small Buildings, Houses and Community Infrastructure

A booklet in Bahasa Indonesia (the Indonesian language) as well as an English language version on Improving the Improving Seismic Resistance of Small Buildings, Houses and Community Infrastructure produced by AC Consulting Group as part of New Zealand Government NZAID funded projects in Indonesia has become available as a resource for wider use. This booklet arose from a visit to Aceh in late 2005 by structural engineer Greg Szakats of consulting engineers AC Consulting Group, an Earthquake Engineering NZ member from Wellington, New Zealand, on an NZAID mission to prepare training resources for sub-district engineers. Originally written in English the booklet was distributed to many NGOs and other agencies working in Aceh and elsewhere in Indonesia. NZAID have now had the booklet translated into Bahasa Indonesia to allow a much wider group of engineers and builders to access this information.
